Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days kicks off on July 10 with the Parade that heads down Tejon and features a wide array of floats, bands, and attractions. The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo bursts out of the chute July 11 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, with nightly performances continuing through Saturday, plus a Saturday Matinee. Bring the whole family and watch the nation’s finest cowboys and cowgirls compete in bareback riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and other thrilling events. The action’s not just confined to the arena, either! Gates open at 4:00 p.m.—arrive early, skip the traffic, and enjoy the family-friendly pre-show fun, including mutton bustin’ tryouts, gold panning, trick rope demos, performing pigs, pony rides, mechanical bull rides, and much, much more.
